Sergio Moscona was born in1979. He lives and works in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
1989 At the age of ten, he discovered drawing and painting in SilviaKanonich’s studio where he studied until 1995.
1995 Studied drawing in Beatriz Negrotto’s studio.
1997 Spent a year discovering watercolors with Guillermo Roux while also
attending philosophy with Santiago Kovadloff, up until the year 2000.
1998 Worked with Jorge Ludueña in his Buenos Aires art studio until the
latter’s death in 1999. Attended the Buenos Aires National Fine Arts
School, where he obtained two degrees, one in painting (2002) and one
in engraving (2004).
2001 Together with Ecuadorian artist Isabel Espinoza, founded El Kiebre, an
artists’ collective which promotes cultural exchange between Paraguay,
Argentina, and Ecuador.
2003 Curator for the exhibition Manifestaciones sobre el malestar latinoamericano
at the Metropolitan Cultural Center of Quito (Ecuador) for the city’s 25th
anniversary as being part of U.N.E.S.C.O.’s World Heritage Sites list.
2005 Studied lithography for two years with Rafael Gil.
First study journey through Europe
2007 Organized, with the El Kiebre collective, the first Biennale for art on
unconventional media in Ecuador.
2010 World Original Print and Engraving Triennial, Chamalières, France –
Guest of Honor.
2012 Curator, exhibition Lajos Szalay, la linea maestra at the Eduardo
Sivori Museum, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
