BÁLINT Endre

Endre Bálint painter and graphic artist. He was born in Budapest on 27th October 1914. At the beginings he studied at the Academy of Applied Arts, where he learned graphics, later he studied painting from János Vaszary and Vilmos Aba-Novák. Between 1937-1940 he visited regularly the artcolony of Szentendre. His first exhibition was hold in the Gallery Tamás in 1938. Since 1945 he worked as one of the foundators of the European School. After some shorter traver, he moved to Paris for five years. In 1985 he got the Kossuth-price. He died on 3rt May in 1986 in Budapest.

Some of his works are kept in public collections in Szentendre and Székesfehérvár. His most important techniq was painting and lino cut, but he also used other graphic techniqs. In his wors appears abstact, surreal and  constructvic traits.
