Kálmán Csohány graphic artist. He was born on 31th January 1925 in Pásztó. He graduated in 1952 at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts. His masters were Sándor Ék, Károly Koffán and György Konencsi. He got Derkovits-scholarship in 1959. Since 1955 he showed up on national exhibitions, he regularly took part in Hungarian and International graphical biennales. He often visited the art colony of Mártély, Hajdúböszörmény and Miskolc. He was a member of the Studio of Young Artists Group, Next to making echings he also made ink drawings, litographies, and ceramics. He illustrated several books.
He got Munkács-Mihály price in 1964 and 1967, in 1974 he become an "Érdemes" Artist. He died in Budapest on 2th April 1980. His works are shown in public places in Fót, Szeged, Deszk, Kelebia, SZekszárd, Pásztó and Soporn.
