RÉKASSY Csaba (1937 - 1989)

Csaba Rékassy painter and graphic artist. He was born in Budapest on 24th April in 1937. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest. His master was György Kádár.

His beloved technics were woodcut, copperplate, and he also made ceramics. He created many book illustrations. He regularly took part in graphical biennales. 

In 1972 he was awarded with Munkácsy-Mihály price, in 1985 he became an "Érdemes" Artist, and in 1989 he was inaurgurated Excellent Artist.

He died in Budapest on 17th May 1989.
