Vilmos Aba-Novák painter and graphic artist. He was born in Budapest, 15th March, 1894. He studied at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts, than between 1914-1918 he worked int he art colony of Szolnok with scholarship. After that he took part in a further training at the graphic professorship of the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts. His masters were Imre Révész, Adolf Fényes and Viktor Olgyai. His first exhibition was held at the Ernst Museum in 1922. While his artistic career his works were shown many times in exhibitions of the KUT and the Munkácsy Céh. He went on study tour in France by the scholarship of the Színyei Group, and in Italy by the award of the Roman- Hungarian Academy. He regularly took part and was priced in the biennales of Venice, beside the exhibitoins in Hungary, he had many solo exhibitions in Paris and in New York. He died in Budapest in 29th September, 1941.
