Kálmán Istokovits painter and graphic artist. He was born in Siklós, 2th September 1898. From 1920 he studied in Wien, and in Milan. Later he continued to study at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts. His masters were István Csók, Gyula Rudnay and Andor Dudits. From 1922 he was a permanent participant in Hungarian and peregrine exhibitions and biennales. He worked at the art colony of Pécs, Makó, Szolnok. He had solo exhibtions in Pécs, Budapest, Szombathely and Siklós. Than he took part in several group exhibitions in Hungary and abroad.
He die din 21th October 1990 in Budapest.
The Uffizi in Florence, in Budapest the Mungarian National Gallery, the Municipal Picture Gallery, and in Pécs the Musum Janus Pannonius hold some of his works.
