Vadim BRODSKY (1945 - )

He was born in Saint Petersburg and took a degree at Repin Fine Art in 1970. During he worked at Studio, interested in reproduction graphics, his masters were Alexander Vedernyikov, Borisz Jermolajev, Herta Nemenova. Since 1975 he was member of the Russian Fine Art Federation, founder member and the president of the Russian Reproduction Graphic Club, but he lived in Stuttgart since 1998. Cretaing graphic works – lithographies, lino-cuts, book illustrations – is not the only activity of Brodsky, the artist makes artbooks with unusual texts and paints too. Hungary is a very important country in his life, he speaks the language, and visits there if it is possible. He had a lot of collective exibitions all over the world: in Russia, England, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, the works of Brodsky are especially in public collections: British Library, Anna Ahmatova  Museum, Landesbibliothek Dresden, Staatsgalerie Stuttgart.
